OSTENIL PLUS
Ostenil Plus is designed for large joints such as the knee, hip, or shoulder. Each 2 ml syringe contains high-purity sodium hyaluronate (40 mg) and mannitol, a natural antioxidant that helps stabilise the hyaluronic acid. Together, they restore the lubricating and shock-absorbing qualities of joint fluid, reducing stiffness and pain. Usually given as a single injection (sometimes up to three), the benefits can last for up 6 months, helping you move more comfortably.

OSTENIL TENDON
Ostenil Tendon is formulated for tendon sheaths and surrounding tissues, used in conditions like tendinopathies, friction syndromes or overuse injuries. Each 2 ml syringe contains 40 mg of sodium hyaluronate with mannitol to maintain stability and reduce oxidative stress. Injected around the tendon, it helps reduce friction, ease movement, and promote recovery of the tendon’s gliding action. Most patients feel improvement after one or two injections, lasting up to 6 months

OSTENIL MINI
Ostenil Mini is ideal for small joints such as those in the hands, elbow and feet. The 1 ml syringe contains 10 mg of sodium hyaluronate, helping to replenish and protect the joint’s natural fluid. It provides smooth movement and pain relief in smaller, delicate joints where stiffness and inflammation limit function. Usually given as a short course of injections, Ostenil Mini can offer lasting comfort and improved joint flexibility.

What are the benefits of Hyaluronic Acid Injections?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) injections help restore lubrication and cushioning in joints affected by osteoarthritis or wear and tear. They reduce pain, stiffness, and inflammation, allowing for smoother movement and improved mobility. As HA mimics the body’s natural joint fluid, it enhances comfort without steroids or surgery. Many patients experience relief lasting up to six months or more.
Who is a candidate for Hyaluronic Acid Injections?
These injections are ideal for people with mild to moderate osteoarthritis or joint pain not fully managed by medication, physiotherapy, or lifestyle changes. Commonly treated areas include the knee, hip, shoulder, and smaller joints of the hand, ankle and foot. Candidates should have no active infection and be seeking non-surgical pain relief. Your clinician will assess joint health and suitability before treatment.
What to expect during the procedure
The injection is performed in a clinical setting under sterile conditions. Your clinician may first remove any excess joint fluid, then inject the hyaluronic acid directly into the joint space. The procedure takes only a few minutes and usually causes minimal discomfort. You can return to normal activities shortly after, though strenuous exercise should be avoided for 48 hours.
Achieving long-term pain relief
While results vary, most people notice improvement within a few weeks, with benefits lasting up to six months or longer. Regular maintenance cycles can help sustain comfort and mobility over time. Combining HA injections with exercise, weight management, and joint care enhances long-term outcomes. For many patients, this treatment provides a safe, effective way to delay or avoid surgery.
